2023-07-15 – Association Visit to the National Vietnam Veterans Museum on Phillip Island

On Saturday 15 Jul, ten members and family attended the National Vietnam Veterans Museum on Philip Island.

We met at the museum on a cold and wet day at 10:30 and spent the next two hours wandering around the museum and exploring the history and a lot of equipment we all used. This included small arms, a M2A2 and L5 Pack Howitzer, and even a well restored International F1 (Mk5) truck down the back that the regiments used as gun tractors for many years. It’s an incredible display and well documented. I think many of us came away with some ideas on what we could do with the memorabilia room.

Following this we retired to the RSL in Cowes for lunch. Thanks to Garry Rolfe for organising the day.

Below are some of the photos.
