The Dandenong Multi-User depot (now Monash Barracks), was opened as the Dandenong South Training Depot on 12 Oct 2002. It was the hope of 22 Field Battery 2/10 Field Regiment, 3 Recovery Company, and 310 Regional Cadet Unit. This 25 Pounder gun was placed to commemorate the significance of Artillery in this depot and artillery’s historical significance in Dandenong.
